Network System Technical Support

Our client, a leading IT services company is currently seeking to hire a Network System Technical Support.

Responsibility
 
  •  work full-time exclusively for client and station at client's offices, or other locations assigned by client
  • provide day-to-day support services to users, IT staff and the operation of various servers including, but not limited to the systems listed in clients' venues;
  • work according to maintenance plan and conduct review of maintenance plan when necessary;
  • perform system monitoring and tuning, system administration and database administration and their housekeeping activities;
  • support, configure and troubleshoot wired, VPN and wireless network;
  •  apply latest software patches or upgrade software versions, such as anti-virus and security patches;
  • perform “fire-fighting” maintenance activities;
  • interact and follow up with other contractors for maintenance and fault reported for any IT equipment including PCs, notebooks, printers, scanners, monitors, mobile devices, software, servers and network equipment until case completed;
  •  answer Helpdesk hotline phone call and provide remote support through remote assistance software;
  • facilitate the setup of domain accounts, departmental portal accounts, Lotus Notes accounts and VPN accounts for users;
  • conduct certification for unserviceable or technically obsolete PC, server and network equipment for client;
  • install, troubleshoot and maintain Lotus Notes and mail account for users;
  • implement ad-hoc hardware and software deployment projects at client's venues;
  • produce regular reports on network traffic, virus infection, internet attack, PC switch on after office hour, usage, and performance reports;
  • maintain and update the system documentation to reflect the latest production systems;
  • assist users to perform IT equipment relocation;
  • assist users for IT equipment requests;
  • coordinate mass rollout exercise for hardware and software upgrade;
  • perform any other support activities scheduled by client. 

Requirement
  • At least higher diploma or equivalent in Engineering, Information Technology or computer science; 
  • Shall have Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) qualification.
  • At least 9 years IT working experiences in Helpdesk/Network System Technical Support Services, of which at least 6 year working experience as Government Office Automation resident support staff;
  • At least 5 year experience in LAN/WAN support in government department ; and
  • At least 5 year experience in Lotus Notes user account administration in government department.
