Our client, a leading IT services company is currently seeking to hire an Oracle Database Administrator
Responsibilities
- Technical design and implementation of database for a large-scale mission critical web application system.
- Support on data analysis and modelling, database definitions and design.
- Database performance tuning, monitoring and administration.
- System documentation.
- Technical training.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science or related disciplines
- At least 12 years of IT working experiences, among them 8 years or above of experiences in database administration and/or database design.
- Conversant with Oracle Database (19c or above), Data Guard and Real Application Clusters (RAC) design, configuration, tuning and administration in Linux platform.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and managing databases.
- Proficient in database schema design, normalization, and indexing; able to create and manage data models and ER diagrams.
- Skillful in optimizing database performance, including query optimization and indexing strategies, and troubleshooting database issues using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Knowledge of database security practices, including user management, encryption, and access control.
- Advantageous if with exposures to Oracle Golden Gate and/or Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
- Comfortable to collaborate with others working as a team.
- Good communication skill in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
